About the funder

The Giesecke+Devrient Foundation was established in 2010 to consolidate the social and community engagement of the family-owned company Giesecke+Devrient under one roof. Under the guiding principle "Preserving Roots – Shaping the Future," it promotes the preservation and care of the company’s own banknote collection and the Museum of Printing Art in Leipzig (Preserving Roots), as well as intercultural dialogue and educational and equal opportunities for young people (Shaping the Future). As a non-profit funding foundation, it supports selected initiatives and projects, usually over several years, by providing financial resources, assets, and expertise from Giesecke+Devrient and its network.
