Mission & Vision
The Grunewald Foundation follows the guiding principle of "help for self-help": it supports projects that are not or insufficiently funded by public authorities and gives preference to applicants who actively contribute themselves. The goal is the preservation and promotion of culture, education, and science in the Altmark region.
Target groups
Funding is provided to associations, initiatives, cultural institutions, artists, and non-profit organizations—primarily in the Altmark region (Altmarkkreis Salzwedel, Saxony-Anhalt). In particularly justified cases, projects outside the region may also be supported. A prerequisite is demonstrable personal commitment by the applicants.
