Gudrun Frey Stiftung
About the funder
The Gudrun Frey Foundation was established in 2010 as a non-profit foundation under civil law and continues the legacy of Oberstudienrätin i. R. Gudrun Frey, who passed away in 2009. Its core mission is the Junior German Assistant Program, which annually offers 15–20 high school graduates the opportunity to spend a school year as Teaching & Boarding Assistants at prestigious boarding schools in England, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Thailand, or South Africa. The foundation organizes selection interviews, summer seminars for preparation and follow-up, and supports the fellows throughout their stay with advice, mentorships, and networking contacts.
