About the funder
The HACKENBERG FOUNDATION is a non-profit, charitable foundation under civil law based in Wuppertal. Founded in 2006 by Jörg and Petra Hackenberg, its aim is to support a wide range of projects through personal initiative and commitment, thereby promoting the common good. The foundation is a member of the Association of German Foundations and is dedicated, among other things, to child and youth welfare, nature and environmental protection, elderly care, arts & culture, sports, monument preservation, public health, as well as charitable purposes.

Mission & Vision
"Helping and doing good" is the central guiding principle of the Hackenberg Foundation. The founders of the foundation are convinced that every individual can contribute to sustainably improving the living conditions of people in our society. Therefore, the Foundation promotes self-responsible commitment and supports projects that strengthen community and embody humanity.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Hackenberg Foundation are aimed at non-profit organizations and initiatives as well as individuals active in the supported fields. This includes, in particular, institutions for child and youth welfare, environmental and nature conservation associations, elderly care facilities, cultural and sports clubs, as well as public health service providers. Projects that offer a sustainable social, cultural, or ecological added value for the Wuppertal region and beyond are supported.
