Mission & Vision
The Hamburg Climate Protection Foundation is committed to providing impetus for sustainable living and integrating effective climate protection into everyday life. Its goal is to strengthen environmental awareness through education for sustainable development (ESD), promote climate competencies, and empower people of all ages to actively contribute to climate protection themselves.
Target groups
The funding and educational programs of the Hamburger Klimaschutzstiftung are aimed at all age and social groups in the Hamburg metropolitan region. This includes children and youth groups (school classes, energy detectives, project weeks), teachers (training on climate protection offerings), families and adults (events at Gut Karlshöhe), volunteers (voluntary ecological year, pro bono, internships), as well as non-profit initiatives and institutions (project funding through the climate fund).
