Mission & Vision

For a life in old age with dignity, community, and support, the Hanel Senioren Stiftung is committed in an unbureaucratic, discreet, and heartfelt manner to ensuring that seniors do not remain alone despite financial hardships. Through individual in-kind benefits, personal accompaniment, and communal activities, the foundation aims to counteract loneliness and poverty in old age and to bring joy of life to elderly people.

Target groups

The funding programs are aimed at people aged 65 and over who are affected by old-age poverty, loneliness, or social exclusion and require support due to their physical, mental, or emotional condition. The foundation focuses its work locally in the city and district of Cuxhaven as well as in Bremerhaven and also offers nationwide telephone counseling. Volunteer sponsorships and mobility services are specifically targeted at elderly people living alone with low income and limited mobility.
