Hanna und Carl Siefkes-Stiftung
About the funder
The Hanna and Carl Siefkes Foundation is an independent ecclesiastical foundation under civil law, supervised by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover. Its primary objective is the promotion of historic organs in the Evangelical Lutheran churches of East Frisia, as well as the support of part-time organists in these congregations. The foundation was established in 2003 on the initiative of Hanna Siefkes, whose legacy determined the foundation’s establishment and naming. Since its recognition, it has supported restoration projects of historic organs and scholarship programs for aspiring organists.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is the preservation and care of the rich organ cultural heritage in East Frisia and the promotion of emerging organists in the Evangelical Lutheran congregations of the region. Through the restoration of listed instruments and financial support for future organists, we aim to keep the church music tradition alive and further develop it.
Target groups
The foundation's funding programs are aimed at Evangelical Lutheran congregations in East Frisia, organ building companies and restorers, as well as (aspiring) part-time organists. Projects that serve the preservation of historic organs, as well as training and continuing education measures for musicians who wish to undertake service at the organ, are supported.
