About the funder
The Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung e.V. is a political foundation affiliated with the CSU, headquartered in Munich. Since its founding, it has been committed as a "School of Democracy" to political education domestically and in development cooperation worldwide. With a broad range of seminars, publications, research projects, and foreign offices, it promotes social dialogue, democratic competence, and international understanding. The foundation also awards scholarships to talented students and trainees and honors young talents in culture and journalism with prizes.

Mission & Vision
"In the service of democracy, peace, and development" – under this motto, the Hanns-Seidel Foundation motivates and empowers people to actively participate in shaping their society. It promotes political education, civic engagement, and international partnerships on an equal footing to strengthen sustainability and justice.
Target groups
The offerings of the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung are aimed at politically interested citizens, especially students, trainees, aspiring journalists, cultural workers, as well as specialists and executives in politics, business, and administration. Internationally, the foundation collaborates with partner organizations, decision-makers, and civil society actors in Africa, Europe, and other regions to advance the democratic and economic development process.
