About the funder

The Hans Beger Foundation for the Research and Combat of Pancreatic Cancer is a non-profit private foundation based in Ulm. Founded by Prof. Dr. Hans G. Beger, it is dedicated to researching the molecular mechanisms of pancreatic carcinoma and promoting both clinical and experimental research projects. At the same time, it offers patients and their families counseling and second opinions regarding surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. The foundation collaborates with leading university hospitals (including Ulm, Munich, Heidelberg, Berlin) and has so far invested several hundred thousand euros in innovative projects such as organoid models and genetic subtyping.

Our mission is to advance the control and cure of pancreatic cancer through targeted research funding, consultation, and public outreach. We aim to support patients and families as a reliable contact, develop innovative therapeutic approaches, and raise public awareness of this aggressive cancer.
