The Hans Weisser Foundation for the Promotion of Youth Education and Science is a non-profit foundation under civil law, established in 2002 and based in Hamburg. The Hans Weisser Foundation aims to strengthen entrepreneurial thinking and action in all areas of life by providing opportunities to individuals—especially young, committed personalities from socio-economically challenging backgrounds—and thus contributing to the common good and the economic development of Germany. It promotes courage, implementation strength, and willingness to learn, and sees itself as a "curious foundation" that continuously learns and drives innovation together with its partners.

Target groups

The funding programs of the Hans Weisser Foundation are aimed at two target groups: young people aged 15 to 25 who are disadvantaged due to their social or economic background and require support in completing their schooling as well as transitioning into vocational training and employment, and young professionals, entrepreneurs, and founders with a university degree or master craftsman certificate and at least two years of professional or startup experience, who seek to further develop their entrepreneurial skills and create social value through stays abroad.
