Harold Bob Stiftung

Private foundation

About the funder

The Harold Bob Foundation was established in 1986 by Harold Bob on the occasion of his 75th birthday with an initial capital of 500,000 DM and is a legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Berlin. It pursues charitable purposes and promotes understanding between Jewish and non-Jewish citizens, the relationship between Germany and Israel, as well as education. The use of funds includes awards for creative contributions from young people (up to 25 years old, residing in Berlin and the surrounding area), financial support for exhibitions, travel subsidies, and preparatory lectures within the framework of youth exchange with Israel, as well as grants to Jewish schools and other charitable educational institutions. The foundation's bodies are the Board of Trustees, chaired by Michael Bob, and an advisory board, which decide twice a year on the allocation of funding.
