Heidehof Stiftung GmbH was founded in 1971 by Dr. Eva Madelung and her brother Robert Bosch Jr., the children of the company founder Robert Bosch. Originally known as the Foundation for Education and Disability Support GmbH, it was renamed Heidehof Stiftung GmbH in 2005. The foundation operates both operationally and as a grant provider, engaging in the fields of education, environment, social affairs, and support for people with disabilities. The foundation is known for its sponsorship of workshops for people with disabilities, elderly care facilities, and a clinic for child and adolescent psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychosomatics. In addition, it runs its own projects in the areas of education and ecology.

Target groups

The foundation does not support basic research without practical application nor projects that fall exclusively within the responsibility of the public sector. Individuals and scholarships are not funded. Special emphasis is placed on projects that involve cooperation between schools and extracurricular partners, particularly in the area of environmental education.
