Mission & Vision
The District Government of Arnsberg – Department 48 "Art and Culture" sees itself as a driving force for artistic and cultural development in North Rhine-Westphalia. Through targeted funding programs, we support ensembles, orchestras, festivals, literary and educational institutions, as well as theaters in professionalizing their artistic work, realizing innovative projects, and sustainably reaching their audiences. We rely on transparency, expertise, and participation to promote cultural diversity and social cohesion.
Target groups
Our funding programs are aimed at independent, professional music ensembles based in North Rhine-Westphalia, municipalities and public institutions, private and non-profit organizations, as well as individuals and associations from the cultural sector. This includes, in particular, music and literature institutions, schools participating in the JeKits program, music schools, municipal theaters, and cultural event organizers who pursue innovative concepts and wish to further develop the cultural profile in the Arnsberg administrative district.
