Mission & Vision
Our goal is to provide health, education, and prospects to needy and orphaned children and adolescents in Eastern Europe. We are committed to meeting medical supply needs, enabling accommodation and care in children's homes, and improving the chances for an independent life through training and employment opportunities. In doing so, we believe in the power of individual support and the community's responsibility to assist children in need.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Heiner Buttenberg Foundation are aimed at needy, sick, and orphaned children and adolescents aged approximately 8 to 20 years in Eastern European countries, particularly in Romania. Support is provided to children and young people with serious illnesses (e.g., leukemia, type 1 diabetes, hemophilia), orphans and half-orphans without family support, young people without vocational training or employment in rural and remote areas, as well as long-term homeless individuals and their children, who are offered a life perspective through work projects such as the youth farm in Bacău.
