About the funder

The Heinrich-Peters-Stiftung is a non-profit foundation established in 1967 and based in Hanover. It was founded from the estate of Heinrich Peters (1879–1963), a banker and entrepreneur from Springe. The foundation makes its assets available to needy, ill, and vulnerable individuals in Lower Saxony, particularly in the Springe area. A three-member board, appointed by the DRK State Association of Lower Saxony, decides on one-time or ongoing grants. The foundation works closely with charitable organizations and public social counseling centers.
