About the funder

The Heinrich von der Haar Literature Foundation was established in 2021 in Berlin by the author Heinrich von der Haar. It is committed to promoting contemporary literature and fostering exchange between authors, cultural practitioners, and reading audiences. The foundation organizes literary workshops, reading circles, workshop salons, and supports cross-border projects (including German-Polish and German-Swedish authors). Its goal is to provide authors with a platform for text development and presentation and to strengthen cultural networks.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to promote literary creativity and support the development of writers. We create spaces for exchange and further education through workshops, readings, and networking. The Heinrich von der Haar Literature Foundation believes in the power of literary narratives to build bridges between cultures and enrich the reading culture in Berlin and beyond.

Target groups

The offerings of the Heinrich von der Haar Literature Foundation are aimed at aspiring and established writers, cultural initiatives and literary associations, supporters and friends’ groups of literary projects, as well as an interested audience participating in readings, workshops, and intercultural exchange. Specifically, we address authors who wish to further develop and publish their texts, students and amateur writers participating in literary workshops, cultural associations and networks conducting cross-border literary projects, as well as supporting members and sponsors who want to provide long-term support for the foundation’s work.
