The Hilde and Olaf Werner Foundation for the Promotion of the Foundation Sector is a legal entity and a non-profit foundation under civil law, headquartered in Jena with its administrative address in Leipzig. Founded by Hilde and Prof. Dr. Olaf Werner (trust foundation since December 12, 2003, legally capable since July 14, 2020), it aims to interdisciplinarily accompany, promote, and support the scientific and practical development of the foundation and association sector. Its main focuses are the promotion of scientific conferences, its own events, publications, and book acquisitions for science and teaching, as well as the publication of its own series of writings.

Mission & Vision
Based on the legal and economic sciences, the foundation promotes the interdisciplinary development of the foundation and association sector in order to connect business administration, economics, history, and social sciences, thereby closely linking science and practice. Its goal is to ensure that the foundation sector receives the appropriate attention in both academia and practice that this legal form deserves.
Target groups
Supported and targeted are scientists, practitioners, and institutions active in the field of foundations and associations. This includes organizers and participants of scientific conferences, editors and authors of publications, lecturers with teaching assignments, as well as institutions seeking to acquire books for research and teaching purposes.
