About the funder

The Hildesheimer Sport-Stiftung is a legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Hildesheim. It was established at the beginning of 2013 by the City Council of Hildesheim and is supervised by the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior and Sport. Its purpose is to promote sports in the city of Hildesheim, particularly children and youth projects, cooperation between sports clubs and schools, as well as integration measures through sports. The foundation also supports talent development, high-profile sporting events, and innovative club initiatives.

Mission & Vision

"Sport unites, keeps you young, makes you happy and content, creates friendships and cohesion." The Hildesheimer Sport-Stiftung promotes sports in the city as a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-denominational foundation – with a special focus on work with children and youth as well as the importance of sports for a healthy society.

Target groups

Tax-privileged sports clubs and sports associations as well as educational institutions (schools, universities, vocational schools, daycare centers) based in the city of Hildesheim are eligible for funding. Projects in the areas of children’s, youth, and senior sports, as well as integration and inclusion, are also eligible to apply. Talented individuals from Hildesheim clubs may also request support. A written application must be submitted prior to the start of the project. Construction or sports equipment acquisitions, as well as measures already completed, are not eligible for funding.
