Hoenes-Stiftung
About the funder
The Hoenes Foundation is a non-profit foundation and the sponsor of the Villa Rot Museum in Burgrieden (Rot district). It was established in 1987 by Feodora Hoenes to preserve and maintain the private art collection of Hermann and Feodora Hoenes. The foundation operates and supports the Villa Rot Museum as a supraregional exhibition venue for contemporary art and as a site for chamber music, among others in the chamber music hall named after Hermann Hoenes. Through additional endowments, for example from the artist Willi Siber, the foundation was able to construct a contemporary art hall in 2014, thereby permanently expanding the exhibition space.
