About the funder
The HORIZONT Foundation (within the Deutscher Fachverlag GmbH) is a non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting talented young professionals in the communications, media, and advertising industries. Since 2008, it has awarded grants and scholarships in the fields of marketing, media, creative arts, and new media. The awards aim to support education and training as well as science and research, enabling research stays, stays abroad, and individual further training.

Mission & Vision
The HORIZONT Foundation is committed to supporting young talent in marketing, media, creative fields, and new media. It aims to recognize talents whose achievements and dedication enrich the future of the communications industry and to provide them with both financial and non-material support, enabling their professional development and the realization of research projects.
Target groups
Eligible for funding are students, graduates, and early-career researchers in the communications and media sector as well as the advertising industry. The foundation targets individuals who have demonstrated outstanding academic, creative, and research-related achievements and can show commitment in marketing, media, creation, or new media. The target group particularly includes doctoral candidates, postdoctoral researchers, students of dual and traditional degree programs, and, depending on the call, entire project teams.
