About the funder
The Ilse and Dr. Horst Rusch Foundation was established in 1997 by the auditor Dr. Horst Rusch in Hamburg. After his death, it became the sole heir to his estate. Under the voluntary leadership of the board (Chairman: Hasko Schmodde), the non-profit foundation has established itself in the cultural life of Hamburg and Berlin. It primarily supports theater and music projects that contribute to strengthening and deepening the cultural relations between the two metropolises. A special focus is placed on supporting young artists.

Together with the beneficiaries, the foundation strives to create sustainable impulses for the culture of both locations.
