Innovationsförderagentur NRW (IN.NRW)

The Innovationsförderagentur NRW (IN.NRW) is a unit established within the Jülich Project Management Agency (PtJ) on behalf of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It has been commissioned by the state government to manage approximately 20 funding measures and innovation competitions within the framework of the EFRE/JTF Program NRW 2021–2027 as well as the EU's STEP Regulation. IN.NRW supports funding applicants – from the initial project idea through application and selection procedures to ongoing support and project completion. In doing so, it consolidates expertise from politics, business, and research to deploy funding resources in a targeted, efficient, and effective manner for the digital and sustainable transformation in NRW.

Our mission is to serve as a central point of contact, providing comprehensive support to those interested in funding for research and innovation projects. We offer advice during idea development, assist with application processes, organize evaluation procedures, promote the implementation of projects, and ensure their successful completion. In doing so, we operate at the interfaces of politics, business, and science, responsibly utilizing the resources of the European Union and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia to make a significant contribution to the sustainable development and competitiveness of the economic and scientific location of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Our offer is aimed at all funding applicants in North Rhine-Westphalia and the European Union, in particular: small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large companies in cooperation with SMEs, research and educational institutions, municipal companies and institutions, chambers, associations, clubs, and foundations. IN.NRW supports both individual projects and collaborative ventures and assists all stakeholders throughout the entire funding process.
