About the funder
The Innovationsförderagentur NRW (IN.NRW) is a public-law institution located at the Project Management Jülich (PtJ) that implements large parts of the EFRE/JTF Program NRW 2021–2027 on behalf of the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia. It currently manages 24 funding measures and innovation competitions in the fields of sustainable economy, digitalization, climate and environmental protection, as well as transformation in structural change regions. Core tasks include the design and announcement of funding measures, advising and supporting applicants, conducting selection procedures, granting and disbursing funds, as well as the scientific and administrative project support up to final reports and utilization phases.

Our goal is to competently advise those interested in funding—from the initial idea to successful project completion—provide suitable funding instruments, and thereby make an active contribution to strengthening innovation and competitiveness in the region.
Target groups
IN.NRW targets a broad spectrum of potential grant recipients based or established in North Rhine-Westphalia (or EU-wide if exploitation takes place in NRW): small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large companies in collaboration with SMEs, research institutions and universities, founders, inventors and start-ups, municipal companies and institutions, associations, federations and foundations, as well as other non-economic actors aiming to carry out application-oriented innovation projects.
