Mission & Vision

Our mission is to advance technological progress in Baden-Württemberg by serving as a bridge between academic knowledge and industrial application. We promote technology transfer through close collaboration with universities, research institutions, and companies, providing a reliable platform for research, prototype development, and small-scale production. Innovation, quality, and sustainability are at the core of our activities.

Target groups

IMS CHIPS is aimed at industrial companies, research institutions, and start-ups that wish to develop or manufacture solutions in the field of microelectronics and nanotechnology. Furthermore, the institute offers students and early-career researchers the opportunity to undertake bachelor's and master's theses in interdisciplinary projects and to gain practical experience in state-of-the-art microelectronic manufacturing processes.
