J. und E. Frauendorfer-Förderstiftung
About the funder
The J. and E. Frauendorfer Promotion Foundation is a legally recognized civil law foundation based in Hamburg. It was established from the legacy of the couple Joseph and Emerentia Frauendorfer, who bequeathed their assets to the city of Hamburg to financially and ideologically support disadvantaged upper secondary students. Since 1986, the foundation has implemented the program "Abitur – Your Chance," renamed "Perspective+" in 2025. In collaboration with partners such as the Dürr Foundation, it provides educational seminars, individual counseling, and monthly educational grants to support young people on their path to the (specialized) Abitur.

Mission & Vision
The J. and E. Frauendorfer Support Foundation is committed to providing Hamburg upper secondary students facing disadvantaged starting conditions (e.g., financial constraints, social or health challenges, multilingualism, cultural diversity) with equal opportunities, individualized, and sustainable support on their path to the (specialized) high school diploma. The goal is to strengthen their personal development, build self-confidence, and open up prospects for life after school.
Target groups
The funding programs of the J. and E. Frauendorfer Foundation are aimed at motivated and committed students in grades 11–13 in Hamburg who, despite good academic performance, face challenges such as financial constraints, social or health issues, multilingualism, or cultural diversity. The scholarship recipients receive educational seminars, individual counseling, technical equipment, and monthly educational allowances over two school years to achieve their personal and academic goals and successfully complete their Abitur.
