JeKits-Stiftung

The JeKits Foundation is the sponsor of the statewide program "JeKits – Instruments, Dancing, Singing for Every Child" in North Rhine-Westphalia, based in Bochum. It is funded by the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and implements the cultural education program in cooperation with extracurricular educational partners such as music schools or dance institutions. Throughout the entire primary school period, children learn fundamental musical, dance, and singing skills as part of the program. The foundation coordinates the implementation, provides training, supports evaluation, and ensures quality in the participating schools.

The JeKits Foundation aims to provide every child in North Rhine-Westphalia with equal and sustainable access to cultural education. It promotes musical, dance, and vocal development in primary schools, strengthens social skills and artistic self-awareness. Through close collaboration with schools and extracurricular partners, it ensures diverse aesthetic experiences for children.

The program is aimed at students in grades 1 to 4 at primary and special schools in NRW. The target group includes children who wish to participate in the focus areas of instruments, dancing, or singing offered depending on the school choice, in cooperation with local music or dance institutions. Teachers and educational partners are professionally supported by the foundation to ensure high-quality instruction.
