Mission & Vision
Our mission is to preserve and continue Cage's radical organ piece ORGAN²/ASLSP as a temporal and sonic artwork in the Burchardi Church Halberstadt. In doing so, we promote artistic exchange, scientific research, and broad public engagement to make the transformative power of sound, time, and participatory art tangible across generations.
Target groups
The John Cage Organ Foundation is aimed at friends and supporters of contemporary music and art, volunteers and civil society actors who wish to accompany sustainable projects in the long term, musicians, composers, and art scholars interested in Cage’s work and avant-garde music, as well as young enthusiasts ("young cage") and members of the associated support association who wish to actively participate in events, workshops, and sound changes.
