About the funder
The Jost-Reinhold Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of rural areas and their sustainable development. Its focus is on supporting non-profit initiatives by municipalities and public institutions such as schools, associations, churches, and museums within the foundation’s area of Gievitz / Ankershagen / Penzlin and – in exceptional cases – also in other parts of Mecklenburg. According to its statutes, the foundation concentrates on the fields of education and training, science and research, youth and elderly care, church, sports, fire, disaster and civil protection, art, culture and monument preservation, environmental, landscape and nature conservation, local heritage and folklore, social welfare, as well as charitable purposes.

Mission & Vision
Our goal is to express gratitude to the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and its people by promoting love for humanity and nature as well as respect for creation. The Jost-Reinhold Foundation supports charitable projects and initiatives that make a sustainable contribution to the development of rural areas.
Target groups
Only non-profit institutions and organizations are funded – no individuals. The projects must be located within the foundation's area (region of Gievitz / Ankershagen / Penzlin) and correspond to the foundation's objectives. The target groups are primarily municipalities, schools, associations, churches, museums, and other tax-privileged institutions that wish to realize their initiatives in the specified funding areas through financial grants.
