About the funder
The Karl Kaus Foundation is a Northern German private foundation based in Bremen, committed since 1981 to the protection of animals and natural habitats. It was established on the initiative of Dr. Lieselotte Klaproth as a memorial fund in honor of her father Karl Kaus, to permanently dedicate the proceeds from his life's work to nature and animal conservation. The foundation supports numerous projects in the areas of bird protection, water and moorland development, bat conservation, migratory bird and urban nature projects, as well as awards such as the Emmy & Karl Kaus Prize.

Mission & Vision
The Karl Kaus Foundation stands for sustainable habitat protection and the preservation of biodiversity.
