About the funder
The KELLNER & STOLL FOUNDATION FOR CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENT is a civil law trust foundation based in Bremen. It was established in 2012 by Dr. Rita Kellner-Stoll and Reiner Stoll and is administered in trust by the University of Bremen Foundation. It supports science and research with a focus on environmental and resource protection, climate change and climate protection, as well as renewable energies. Notable programs: CAMPUS AWARD – Research for a Sustainable Future (in cooperation with the ZMT, the University of Bremen, and the alumni network).

Mission & Vision
"Opening perspectives .... Sustainability as a commitment." The foundation links its founding mission with the great future challenges of humanity: promoting education, science, and development while considering the needs of future generations as well as the protection of the environment, climate, and resources.
Target groups
Funding is provided for students (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate) and scientific staff of the University of Bremen as well as affiliated institutes. The geographical focus is on projects related to the University of Bremen campus. A plausible demonstration that the research results contribute to environmental relief, resource conservation, or climate protection is a prerequisite. Projects related to military research, nuclear energy, or fossil fuels are excluded.
