The Kommunalverband für Jugend und Soziales Baden-Württemberg (KVJS) is a public-law corporation and the leading municipal association headquartered in Stuttgart. It performs tasks as a professional and legal service provider across the entire spectrum of youth welfare and social services. Its main responsibilities include the planning, management, and promotion of child and youth welfare services, the provision of social benefits for people with disabilities, guardianship and custodianship law, medical-pedagogical assessment and counseling (MPD), investment funding in homelessness assistance, as well as supporting member municipalities in all matters related to social infrastructure.

Mission & Vision
The KVJS is committed to enabling equitable participation for children, adolescents, families, and people with disabilities and to sustainably improving their living conditions. As a municipal umbrella organization, it creates the framework for quality-assured youth and social work, strengthens rural areas, and promotes inclusion, self-determination, and social justice in Baden-Württemberg.
Target groups
The KVJS primarily targets the 44 rural districts and 9 urban districts of Baden-Württemberg as well as their local youth welfare authorities. It supports independent youth welfare organizations, church and municipal institutions, professionals, and authorities. Other recipients include parents and families, professionals in daycare centers, youth welfare offices, and counseling centers, people with disabilities, their relatives, guardians, as well as employers and employees in the field of vocational inclusion.
