About the funder
KREAKTIV – Supporting Children – Bürgerstiftung Rhein-Lippe is a non-profit foundation under civil law, established in 2006 by committed citizens from Dinslaken, Hamminkeln, Voerde, Wesel, and Hünxe together with Volksbank Rhein-Lippe eG. It was the 100th community foundation in Germany and was honored in February 2006 by Federal Minister for Family Affairs Ursula von der Leyen. The foundation finances and organizes creative, cultural, and nature-related projects for children and youth, consolidates regional support services, and promotes voluntary engagement locally.

Mission & Vision
The KREAKTIV Citizens' Foundation is committed to the holistic support of children and young people in the Rhein-Lippe region. Our goal is to strengthen creativity, community spirit, and self-confidence, to counteract increasing media dependency, and to offer meaningful leisure alternatives. We believe in the power of collective civic actions and aim to nurture children's personalities and encourage them as responsible co-creators of their future.
Target groups
Our programs are aimed at children and adolescents (usually aged 0 to 18 years) from the cities of Dinslaken, Hamminkeln, Voerde, Wesel, and the municipality of Hünxe. We address individuals, groups, schools, and social institutions seeking creative, playful, nature- or culture-oriented offerings to sustainably promote the overall development of young people in our region.
