About the funder

The Kreuzberger Kinderstiftung gAG is a non-profit joint-stock company based in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Since its founding in 2014, it has pursued the goal of promoting educational equity and youth engagement. The gAG distinguishes itself through democratic structures and full transparency: shareholders each have one vote in the general meeting on amendments to the articles of association and the election of the supervisory board. Financed exclusively through private donations and contributions, the foundation awards scholarships nationwide, supports projects by and for young people, and implements its own programs such as children's courses, youth committees, and cultural initiatives.

Mission & Vision

The Kreuzberger Kinderstiftung gemeinnützige Aktiengesellschaft is committed to improving the opportunities of young people for education and social participation. It empowers its target groups through financial support, personal guidance, and involvement in decision-making processes. Its collective actions at the local, national, and European levels promote tolerance, responsibility, and active participation in shaping democratic society.

Target groups

The funding programs are aimed at children, adolescents, and young adults who receive little support within the education system or their social environment. This particularly includes students in intermediate and secondary schools, care leavers, learners pursuing a second-chance education, and young people planning their own nonprofit projects. The goal is to provide them with financial, professional, and participatory resources to reduce barriers and strengthen their sense of self-efficacy.
