About the funder
The Kultursekretariat NRW Gütersloh is an association of over 80 cities and municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Westphalia-Lippe Regional Association, and the Lippe Regional Association. Founded in 1980, its aim is to promote collaboration in municipal cultural work, create high-quality cultural offerings, and enable efficient cooperation. A special focus is placed on the producing theaters in NRW that do not have their own ensembles. The Kultursekretariat NRW Gütersloh also serves as a cultural-political representative of its member cities and promotes cultural education, producing theaters in NRW, and art in public spaces.

Mission & Vision
The Kultursekretariat NRW Gütersloh is committed to creativity and cultural diversity with high artistic quality throughout North Rhine-Westphalia. It initiates and supports cultural projects across all disciplines in close cooperation with the state of NRW. Funding is provided from the cultural budget of the state of NRW and aims to enhance the quality and attractiveness of cultural offerings.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Kultursekretariat NRW Gütersloh are exclusively aimed at the member cities. These have the opportunity to apply for state funding for their events and projects. The target group includes public and private sponsors from the member cities, including registered associations, municipal cultural institutions, as well as cultural and socio-educational facilities such as youth art schools or youth centers. The funding is designed to support and expand cultural diversity and quality in the member cities.
