Kulturstiftung Itzehoe

The Kulturstiftung Itzehoe is a non-profit foundation established in 2011 to initiate, promote, and secure the necessary funding for projects in the fields of art and culture in Itzehoe and the surrounding region. It can implement its own projects, award sponsorship prizes and scholarships, as well as organize cultural events such as readings, exhibitions, and competitions. As an independent organization, it undertakes tasks that go beyond the mandatory responsibilities of municipalities and operates selflessly for the benefit of culture in the city and district of Steinburg.

The Kulturstiftung Itzehoe is committed to actively shaping and sustainably promoting cultural life in Itzehoe and the surrounding region. It sees itself as a mediator between citizens, businesses, and cultural practitioners and aims to strengthen civic engagement, preserve cultural values, and provide new impulses for art and culture. Our goal is to support creative talents and make the local cultural diversity tangible.

The funding programs of the Kulturstiftung Itzehoe are aimed at cultural practitioners and cultural organizations in the Steinburg district and surrounding areas, particularly individual artists, authors, musicians, visual artists, as well as cultural initiatives and associations. In addition, we address young talents and school classes with our annual youth art competition to promote creativity and cultural participation from an early age.
