Mission & Vision

The state of Burgenland aims to establish a high-quality sports infrastructure in the long term as "Sportland Burgenland," thereby providing optimal conditions for sports clubs and municipalities. We specifically support measures that contribute to the sustainable use and optimization of existing facilities and the creation of new sports venues. Our objective is to strengthen both grassroots and elite sports, promote youth development, and develop barrier-free offerings for all population groups.

Target groups

The funding for sports facilities and sports grounds is aimed at Burgenland sports clubs with their registered office in Burgenland and affiliation to a Burgenland specialist association, Burgenland municipalities acting on behalf of a sports club, as well as natural and legal persons based in Burgenland who meet the requirements of the Burgenland Sports Act and comply with the EU de minimis aid regulations. Funding is provided for new construction, conversion, renovation, and barrier-free adaptation of sports facilities and sports grounds in accordance with the sports funding guidelines of the State of Burgenland.
