Mission & Vision
Our mission is the sustainable and future-oriented development of the Lower Austrian region. We promote professional dialogue between the state administration, municipalities, regions, and citizens to jointly develop efficient strategies and measures for settlement, traffic, and environmental issues. In doing so, we rely on cooperation across municipal, state, and national borders as well as on the integration of planning and digitalization.
Target groups
The department's services are aimed at Lower Austrian municipalities and small regions, municipal planning officials, urban and regional planning offices, specialized authorities in the environmental and transport sectors, as well as interested citizens. Furthermore, cooperation partners in neighboring federal states, in Vienna, in the centrope regions (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary), and at the EU level are addressed in order to implement cross-border projects and transnational programs.
