About the funder
Department 4 "Livelihoods and Energy" within the Office of the Salzburg State Government is responsible for the development and implementation of energy and environmental policy funding programs in the state of Salzburg. In particular, Division 4/04 "Energy Industry and Consulting" develops guidelines and supports private households, municipalities, and businesses in investments in photovoltaic systems, electricity storage, and the transition to renewable heat supply. The goal is to increase energy efficiency, reduce CO₂ emissions, and implement the SALZBURG 2050 climate strategy through targeted subsidies.

Mission & Vision
Department 4 is committed to the sustainable safeguarding of the livelihoods in the State of Salzburg. Our mission is to promote the increased use of renewable energy sources, enhance energy efficiency, and thereby ensure climate protection, supply security, and energy autonomy in line with the SALZBURG 2050 strategy.
Target groups
Funding is provided to private individuals and legal entities, owners, tenants, or holders of residential rights of predominantly privately used buildings in the state of Salzburg, as well as municipalities participating in the e5 program. The programs target project sponsors investing in photovoltaic, storage, or renewable heat technologies, thereby contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions and the achievement of the state energy objectives.
