About the funder
Department 20408 "Rural Development and Education" within the Office of the Salzburg State Government is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of rural development funding measures in the state of Salzburg under the Austrian CAP Strategic Plan 2023–2027 and the relevant EU funding programs. It serves as the central interface between the European Union, federal government, state agencies, and local stakeholders, ensuring the needs-based allocation of grants to promote the sustainable development of rural areas in Salzburg.

Target groups
Funding is provided to businesses and organizations based in the state of Salzburg, in particular agricultural and forestry enterprises, municipalities and municipal institutions, Local Action Groups (LAG) and other regional development initiatives, as well as non-profit organizations and project sponsors that contribute to improving economic and living conditions in rural areas.
