Land Tirol, Nachhaltigkeits- und Klimakoordination

The Department of Sustainability and Climate Coordination of the State of Tyrol is responsible within the state administration for the strategic management, coordination, and further development of Tyrol's sustainability and climate strategy. It develops funding programs, supports the implementation of measures for climate protection and sustainable development in the regions, and ensures cross-departmental exchange. The goal is to support projects in the areas of renewable energy, resource conservation, mobility transition, and climate change adaptation, as well as to promote networking among municipalities, businesses, science, and civil society.

Our mission is to shape a climate-resilient and sustainable future for Tyrol. We see ourselves as initiators and supporters of innovative projects that harmonize environmental protection, social participation, and economic development. Through targeted funding measures and close collaboration with partners, we strive for a climate-neutral region that minimizes the ecological footprint and secures long-term quality of life.

The funding programs are aimed at public institutions (municipalities, district administrative authorities), companies, research institutions, non-profit organizations, and civil society initiatives based or primarily active in Tyrol. Projects that pursue innovative approaches in the fields of climate protection, energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, circular economy, and biodiversity, and that make a measurable contribution to achieving the regional objectives, are supported.
