About the funder
The City of Graz is the municipal administration of the city of Graz, the capital of Styria. As the highest municipal authority, it is responsible for a wide range of funding programs and services in areas such as environment, mobility, social affairs, and culture. Through the Environmental Office, funding measures have been offered for many years to support citizens and businesses in transitioning to climate-friendly technologies. These include, in addition to environmentally friendly vehicle fleets, programs for cargo bikes, rainwater utilization, and soil de-sealing. The City of Graz aims to continuously improve the quality of life of its residents through sustainable urban development, resource conservation, and climate protection.

Target groups
The environmental funding for environmentally friendly vehicle fleets is aimed at commercial enterprises, charitable associations, and institutions based in the Graz city area that predominantly operate taxi services or rental cars in taxi operations or provide social services in accordance with the Styrian Social Assistance Act. Vehicles with exclusively electric propulsion are eligible for funding. Per applicant, one vehicle can be subsidized with a grant of 3,000 euros during the funding period 2025–2026, provided that the purchase, credit, or leasing contract is dated from January 1, 2025, and the initial registration is no more than three months old.
