About the funder
The Lower Saxony State Prevention Council (LPR) is a statewide advisory body that, as a specialist committee of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice, coordinates and strengthens prevention structures in Lower Saxony. Its goal is to prevent violence and crime, counteract extremism, racism, and anti-Semitism, and promote democracy. Its approximately 270 members include municipal prevention councils, associations, authorities, and scientific institutions. The LPR office, provided by the Ministry of Justice, offers advice, information, training and further education, funds projects, and develops tools and methods for daily prevention work on site.

Target groups
The LPR is aimed at municipal prevention actors in Lower Saxony – this includes around 200 municipal prevention councils, local initiatives and committees from youth welfare, schools, daycare centers, administration, politics, police, judiciary, associations as well as professionals from the social, health, and education sectors. The goal is to support these actors in the development and implementation of integrated prevention strategies and projects.
