About the funder

The Traunstein District Office is the district administrative authority of the Traunstein district in southeastern Bavaria. With approximately 1,534 km², the district is the largest district in Upper Bavaria by area and comprises 35 municipalities with over 175,000 inhabitants. The district office is responsible for tasks in the areas of citizen services, public safety and order, environmental and nature conservation, healthcare, social affairs, youth and family, as well as construction and planning. The region is nicknamed the "Home of Superlatives" and is known for Lake Chiemsee, Lake Waging, and the Chiemgau Alps.
