Lisa Dräger Stiftung

Public foundation

About the funder

The Lisa Dräger Foundation is a legal public foundation under civil law based in Lübeck. It was established in 2009 by Lisa Dräger and is managed on a voluntary basis by a five-member board. The foundation does not act on its own account but channels funding directly to tax-privileged organizations. Its funding priorities lie, on the one hand, in youth welfare, particularly in close cooperation with school associations of public educational institutions, and on the other hand, in local history, especially through support of the association "Gesellschaft Weltkulturgut Hansestadt Lübeck (non-profit) e.V." and its cultural-historical projects.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to strengthen cultural identity and social participation in Lübeck. We support socially or financially disadvantaged youth by assisting educational professionals and specific projects, as well as by vividly conveying the history of the Hanseatic city through the preservation and operation of historical replicas and models. In doing so, we emphasize sustainable impact and the direct allocation of funds to non-profit organizations.

Target groups

The funding programs of the Lisa Dräger Foundation are aimed at tax-privileged corporations and non-profit associations in Lübeck. In the field of youth welfare, the foundation cooperates with school associations of public educational institutions to provide assistance to socially or financially disadvantaged children and adolescents through special education and psychological professionals or project-based support. In the field of local history, it particularly supports the association "Gesellschaft Weltkulturgut Hansestadt Lübeck (non-profit) e.V." with projects such as the preservation of the Kraweel "Lisa von Lübeck," the shipyard launch "SW2," and the maintenance of historic model display cases.
