Louis Leitz Stiftung
About the funder
The Louis Leitz Foundation was established in November 2001 by former partners and members of the founding family of the Leitz company. It is named after Louis Leitz (1846–1918), the inventor of the globally renowned Leitz binder. The non-profit foundation supports educational, training, further education, and employment projects for disadvantaged people in Germany, Eastern Europe, and Africa. Its medium-term support focuses on sustainable, scalable projects that achieve a significant developmental boost.

Mission & Vision
Creating a future through education | training | work. Our goal is to enable equal opportunities for disadvantaged children, adolescents, and adults through targeted education and training programs and to pave their way into employment and social participation. We believe in the transformative power of (vocational) education as an investment in a just and sustainable future.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Louis Leitz Foundation are aimed at people affected by poverty, disadvantage, flight, or sexual violence. This includes children of preschool and school age, disadvantaged youth with a migration background, as well as women and girls in Eastern Europe and Africa who require psychosocial and economic support. The foundation supports non-profit organizations, associations, and local agencies, but not individuals.
