About the funder
The Maecenata Foundation is an independent think tank specializing in the fields of civil society, civic engagement, philanthropy, and the foundation sector. Founded in 2010, the foundation is based in Munich and has brought together all Maecenata activities under one roof since 2011. The foundation sees itself as an ideal service provider for civil society and is committed to its transnational strengthening as well as to the development of an open society in Europe and beyond. It pursues its statutory purposes through four main programs and additional projects focused on research, international donation transfer, and network building.

Mission & Vision
The Maecenata Foundation is committed to strengthening civil society and promoting an open society in Europe.
