The foundation's work is carried out by a voluntary board, an advisory panel, and seven permanent staff members, supported by freelance staff and interns.

Our goal is to advance environmental and nature conservation worldwide by supporting projects that promote the protection and restoration of ecologically valuable habitats. Target groups

Target groups are non-profit organizations, specialist institutes, and local initiatives engaged in the areas of running waters, forests, coastal wetlands, peatlands & climate, as well as agriculture & biodiversity. The funding programs are aimed at partners in Germany, Europe, and regions of the Global South, including Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
