About the funder
The Margot Friedländer Foundation was established in the summer of 2023 by Holocaust survivor Dr. h. c. Margot Friedländer. It pursues exclusively charitable purposes and continues the life’s work of its founder, who was committed to tolerance and humanity as well as to freedom and democracy. The foundation supports projects and initiatives that keep the knowledge of the Nazi crimes alive, strengthen engagement for democracy, and contribute to ensuring that "what happened then never happens again." The foundation is sponsored and patronized by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Mission & Vision
