About the funder
The Maria Möller Foundation is a non-profit private foundation established on December 24, 2005, by Dr. Gerd Möller, his children, and a colleague, and was recognized as a legal foundation by the Münster District Government in May 2006. With initial capital of €50,000 and additional contributions from the founding family, it exclusively supports projects in the field of oncology research at the Medical Faculty of the Westfälische Wilhelms University Münster. The foundation completely waives administrative costs and allocates 100% of its funds to the promotion of young scientists.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to promote outstanding research in the field of oncology and to provide incentives for the next generation of scientists at the University of Münster. To this end, we award a doctoral prize twice a year for summa cum laude dissertations and annually recognize research projects with financial prizes. We are committed to full transparency and guarantee that every donation directly benefits the supported projects.
