About the funder
According to its statutes, the purpose of the Marienhaus Foundation is to promote elderly care and to support needy residents in the facilities of Marienhaus St. Johann e. V. It funds a wide range of initiatives – from small acquisitions to larger projects – that significantly contribute to improving the quality of life of the residents. A special concern is fulfilling individual heartfelt wishes that would otherwise be unaffordable, such as excursions, special hobbies, or personal desires.

Mission & Vision
The Marienhaus Foundation is committed to enhancing the quality of life for elderly and needy individuals in the three care facilities of Marienhaus St. Johann e. V. Through targeted support, individualized assistance programs, and heartfelt wish projects, it creates lasting added value and promotes community as well as participation in social life.
Target groups
The target group of the Marienhaus Foundation consists of the residents of the three care facilities of Marienhaus St. Johann e. V. in Freiburg (St. Marienhaus, St. Johann Residential Home, Stahlbad St. Antonius), who, due to their life circumstances, do not have sufficient financial means themselves to fulfill special wishes or necessary purchases.
